One of the books we will be releasing soon, The Way of Tarot by Alejandro Jodorowsky and Marianne Costa (who is a formidable teacher and author in her own right—if we published fiction, I would be giving serious consideration to her novel No Woman’s Land) is one of which I am particularly fond. An Amazon reviewer of the Spanish edition called it the “Zen slap of tarot” an very accurate metaphor for the enormous impact this book can have on the reader—it will challenge you not only on whatever you think you know about the tarot, but it will put in your hands a key to understanding and materializing the deepest desires of your soul. But fans of Jodorowsky have more to look forward to—we will be following the publication of The Way of Tarot, with Psychomagic, the essential book that presents the core principles of Jodo’s unique brand of shamanistic psychotherapy.

This book is a winner. With incredibly diverse and vivid photographs, Jim Wasserman helps us to see our nation’s capitol in a new light. His artist’s eye captures views that both zero in on the familiar in an unfamiliar way (see the bas-relief pictured on pages 112 [top] and 113) as well as single out the richness of the details nested in rooms so abundant in symbolism that the eye cannot possibly absorb it all in its totality (see the Library of Congress Reading Room pictured on pages 9 and 22-23, and the Great Hall on pages 95-99).
